Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, just finished putting the engine back in the car. Upon initial start up everything ran fine then as it warms up it starts running rough. Checked the codes and got P1324 and P1539 both are cam deviation bank 2. So, I bought a durametric and at start up the deviation is 0.00 on both sides then as it warms up Bank one goes to -3.0 and Bank 2 goes to 25.0. I then did a start stop on the solenoid for bank 1 and really ran rough. Did it for bank 2 no change. I put new solenoids on both banks. The question is, do I have a bad actuator? Not really looking forward to dropping the motor again if I don’t have too. I checked to see if I had voltage at the solenoid plug and I do have power. I also tested the solenoid and it does sound like it’s engaging. I also did the IMS any change that could be causing it or would it be bad on both cams? Really just want to be driving her again!! Thought!!

POST 2Original post

certainly does sound like the bank 2 is not actuating like it should. Do you have to drop the motor, can you not take the exhaust and protector off and then the cover.. and work on that one side ? I know the actuator is rebuildable.. those solenoids are extremely expensive. did you buy them new ? Also what is the back story .. were you having issues before with this ?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's an update. I dropped the motor again and found the veriocam actuator to be compressed. I have since purchased the new seals and will be rebuilding the actuator this weekend. I will let everyone know how this goes and include photos.
