Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

If you're talking about the sensor at the front of the engine that's accessed by removing the panel behind the seat, I put my replacement in at snug and it's been fine - no leaks. That was 9 yrs ago. Have the replacement ready as you'll get a gusher when you remove the old one. Work quickly and you won't lose too much antifreeze.

Thanks Husker, the coolant temp sensor swap went real well and quickly, but from underneath - the car on a lift. Tightened it snug, should not be too tight... Did change the two front of the engine large diameter coolant hoses at the same time (looked to be at the end of the lifespan, probably original), so coolant flush was also done at the same time
