This is not a probability of success.

What a difference.....finally handles like a sports car.....its a stiff ride but not uncomfortable at lower speeds but it really makes sense once the speed gets higher.....it changes the car from understeer to slight oversteer so you can boot it out of corners and get the traction control kicking in as the back hops sideways.....great fun.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got my 2002 C2 upgraded to the x74 suspension on Friday.....fantastic... You can also carry a lot more speed into a corner without it trying to push the front wide. The whole car is about an inch lower and it just corners so much better for it. Porsche Newcastle were great....I spoke Colin, their parts guy and he just said "That in the current climate" them were prepared to be very competitive on price for this kind of work as he admits very few people at the moment are buying this kind of thing. The car also needed new rear drop links?? but they put these on and still stuck to the original price we had agreed. (£1890 including VAT for full x74 kit (yellow struts) stabiliser bars, bushes and wheel alignment). It's the first X74 they had fitted and their techs had a drive of the car afterwards and said they were really impressed with it.....said it was much better than the standard option sports suspension orMo30 stuff the cars usually come with and similar to the GT3. Well worth the cash if you are looking to go this way....it's taken my car from a tired 6 year old 44k miler to feeling like a brand new machine. If you are looking for maxium "bang for your buck" this is a staggering performance increase when compared to the modest benefit a sports exhaust and remap would give for similar money.... Couldn't fault the service and price from Porsche Newcastle....they were great and about £400 cheaper than the best indy quote for the same work.

POST 2Original post

2-0 to Newcastle! They've certainly been busy this week!

POST 3Original post

What he said :thumb: Jim, have you got any before and after pics you could post?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry haven't got any "before" ones.......will try to take a few "after" ones this week and post them up......quite a drop on the car....

POST 6Original post

Sounds impressive. Out of interest, what is the difference between X74 and M030?

POST 7Original post

I got the X74 setup on my car recently (using porsche sports dampers and -30mm eibach springs) - am also very happy with it.

POST 10Original post

I knew my post was ambiguous before I pressed submit, but I did it anyway cos I'm crazy like that. I have the Porsche dampers, and -30mm eibach springs. My car has been setup to the X74 geometry, if that makes sense. So my kit isnt X74, but all my measurements etc are. That was what I was trying (but failing to say). I still like it... its lush

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For all the detail nerds out there like me......new ride height of my car with X74 fitted is 25.6 inches all round measured at the highest point of the wheel arch.... Read in a recent article that the standard C2 is about 27 inches, Turbo and S cars are 26.25 and the GT2 is 25.25. Couldn't find a measurement for the GT3 but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to enlighten me! Really happy with the car.....just seems to get better as I am adapting to the new handling!
