They are a reputable company in Norwich and the guy that owns it also owns the Porsche dealership aswell so when they give you the warranty they adjust the labour rates accordingly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just posted a similar thread on the general chat but .... So I'm looking for a Targa! Advice on what to and not to do please! £30-£35 Grand. Sooooo.....??

POST 2Original post

You can get a minimum 03 plate 40k miler with good spec for the bottom range of your budget. Not a great deal of difference between the Targa and std 996. Only thing to watch out for is to check the rubber seals line up + check the plastic strips aren't lose. Check the rear boot clips are securely in place. Make sure the roof and boot mechanisms work without any trouble (plus blind). Don't worry if the roof squeeks a bit during the test drive, they all do (including the brand new 997). Apart from that, it's the same as a std 996.

POST 3Original post

I'd echo that, and good luck, you should get a cracking car at that budget I'd also add that if you get a 2004 model you are on 2 year servicing. I'd also recomend the Porsche warranty for peace of mind at this sort of spend. I waited almost 3 years to get ours (OK I had a year off with an S2000) but its worth the wait. I was after a manual and there seemed to be more tip targas when I was looking. The roofs often rattle quite badly if not recently adjusted/ lubricated. Finally PSE (sports exhaust) is a must. You can add it afterwards but save 1.5k by buying a car with it already fitted. The options fitted vary widely and I was luck to get an (almost) exact match. Let us know how you get on.

POST 4Original post

They have a nice one at the garage where i got my carrera 4 from check this out - http://www.lindapproved.co.uk/used-cars/Porsche-911-targa/169.htm I 'm sure they would do you a deal, tell them Dave with the carrera 4 told you about it, ask for a guy called Martin he's a nice bloke. They are a reputable company in Norwich and the guy that owns it also owns the Porsche dealership aswell so when they give you the warranty they adjust the labour rates accordingly. Dave
