These spacers were fitted almost 18 months ago on my original Turbo II Look wheels.

I've just returned from my local PCGB meet and was told i use the nuts to mount the spacer and the original bolts to fix the wheel to that.

Do i use the original wheel bolts fitted now to mount the spacers?

on either or both occasions you changed the spacers?

However i would like to know if i use the existing wheel bolts to mount the spacer?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Picked up a pair of 17mm spacers for the rear wheels from my local OPC today. They only came with standard black nuts so had to order some anti theft nuts too. My questions are;
Do i use the original wheel bolts fitted now to mount the spacers?
Once on this means i'll have black nuts on the rear wheels and standard coloured bolts on the front. Is the only way to have them all black to fit caps to the front bolts? but they don't fit the anti theft bolts!
I'm now also going to need a torque wrench. Any recommendations?
Any other tips or advice? thanks in advance for any replies!

you'll need special longer wheel bolts, unless the black ones were extra length
and I doubt anyone will notice the colour difference

i'm confused now! the spacers are supplied with nuts, not bolts.
Do i mount the spacers with the existing wheel bolts?

Mmmmmmmm, seems not many on here like to get their hands dirty and tinker about with their motors, LOL.
The 17mm Porsche spacers have the studs fixed in, so the wheels are held in place with the supplied nuts.
However i would like to know if i use the existing wheel bolts to mount the spacer?
Someone else must have done this?

I'm always tinkering with my car!!!!
I'd rather have black wheel bolts rather than the rusty standard ones.
As regards a torque wrench, a little look inside a Screwfix catalogue or a visit to
www.Frost.co.uk
should see you ok.

OH NOOOOOO............................................
I've just returned from my local PCGB meet and was told i use the nuts to mount the spacer and the original bolts to fix the wheel to that.
Which way round IS IT ????
Phone call to my OPC first thing in the morning.

Flatsix,
what do you think of the spacers? have they made a significant difference in looks or handling? Did you go for F&R or just rear?
cheers
Tim

Personally i love the look, plus others have noticed and given positive feedback too!
I just did the rears to flair out the back end a little. Some say i may turn in a little quicker but the front strut brace gave me a greater and quicker turn in effect than the spacers.

Hi....your car looks great by the way....I'm interested in fitting wheel spacers to my 2002 C2.....do they effect the handling at all and do you have to do back and front together?
Cheers
These spacers were fitted almost 18 months ago on my original Turbo II Look wheels. They flaired the rear wheels out nicely and didn't upset the handling. Both the wheels and spacers have a new owner now.
The wheels I have now have a different offset so only wear 7mm rear spacers. I've never fitted front spacers.
