Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just had Fister Sport Exhaust installed on my 03 Targa, manual. Just wanted to share that I am a happy customer here..cold startup sounds great and under acceleration rumble is great too. I didn't think the factory exhaust sounded very good. Best $1300 I spent on this 996 including installation. If you are considering an upgrade, I would highly recommend them.
I agree. I fabricated the parts myself and then had them welded up locally by a specialty shop- for $1200. I could have saved myself some trouble🤔 They sound great though
This is a great mod for the 996/997. Simple yet very rewarding to the driving experience. I've done three with my local muffler shop in just the past few months and the customers have been very happy with the results. Fister's work is also very good, especially the final finish.
I have had mine for at several years, a wonderful upgrade, but until I installed new Magnaflow cats did I really appreciate the sound of this beast. Amazing low frequency notes, reaching a wonderful wail at full bore.
If you have rusting on the seams they probably are not a good candidate for the mod . Maybe send a few pics to Fister and see if they can qualify the mufflers . I love everything about my Fisters except the weight . The OEM mufflers are stupid heavy and rust . Having said that the Fister mod is great quality .
If you have rust at the seam on the bottom of the muffler, Fister can grind it out and reeled with stainless steel. They did that for a set of mufflers I sent them for modification.
Mark
~$600 for modificaiton
~$300 for coating (supposedly decreases heat in engine, not sure if that even matters)
~$80 tax
~$150 shipping
$1,175 all in (would install my self)
I'd love to have more of a throaty sounding ride, but this mod is purely audio aesthetic, right? As much as I'd love a more growl out of the back, just trying to weigh if I need to hear my car more for a $grand...
Yes, I did then find a long thread of back and forts on that option. I'm sure I can find someone in LA who can do a good welding job, even if I have to pay 2x that, that's a huge savings....
I have Fabspeed MaxFlos Stage 3 modified by Fister. Its loudlike almost muffler delete volume but without the drone and obnoxious tone. My neighbors hate me but the car sounds soooo good.
