Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

07 997 C2S. I want to mount a window sticking radar detector new the rear view mirror. I have a direct power cord to run around the windshield. Where is the best place to tap into 12V and ground? Is there an opportunity for switched 12V in the overhead light/sunroof panel?

POST 2Original post

Run it down behind the drivers side pillar to the fuse box and get a fuse tap so you can plug it in to an open fuse slot that has switched 12V power, although I dont recall offhand which fuse slot that is but you should be able to figure it out from the fuse map. This is what I did with my escort. I had found an installation guide with all the details on one of those other Porsche forums in the 997 section. It was pretty easy and works great. Switches on and off with the car ignition.
