Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Discombobulate said: Problem sorted. Reasonable price too - for the real thing. This cage is off a 996.2 GT3 CS, do you know if it is compatible with a 996.1 GT3 CS? I believe Porsche changed supplier for cages between the .1 and .2

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a MY2000 996.1 GT3 Club Sport. It has the rear cage fitted but missing the front part of the cage. It looks like most of them were removed if the car is being used predominately for road use. Is it possible to buy a replacement front section? I understand the original manufacturer, Matter who supplied Porsche went out of business in the early 2000's. The later 996 GT3 Club Sports were fitted with IVM manufactured cages. These look to be more accessabile. Does anyone know if the front IVM manufactured cage is compatible with the rear Matter manufactured cage? Edited by kkerr3 on Monday 27th January 17:46
