Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I fitted aftermarket heating elements to mine (the original seats were heated) so they even offer a bit of luxury in the winter.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After much deliberation, I am leaning towards a set of folding Corbeau seats for my 996 C2 as I find the standard seats don't offer enough support and sit too high for my liking.
Anyone else fitted them and have any feedback in a 911?
I have some Corbeau Le Pros in my Elise and they are great but would be good to know if anyone has tried them in a 911.
I had club sport bucket seats from corbeau in mine and they were excellent. Sadly no longer available. I've just picked up some rrs recliners that seem very comfy but I've not actually installed them yet!
Nicest aftermarket seats I've seen are Cobra Nogaro's.
I appreciate these aren't recliners but they get very good reviews as far as comfort goes and if you need access to the rear I would have thought fitting a tilting seat base to the passenger side would be a good option? These will get your nice and low and there are a few pics floating about of them fitted to 996's.
Interested to hear how the Corbeau seats work out if you go for them though, please keep this updated.
The cobras do look great!
Managed to get the rrs seats at a good price though although the runners/mounts seems to be a load of hassle at the moment! Bit of research seems to point that Audi TT mk1 mounts will direct fit the 996!?! Anyone know if that's true?? The recaro site indicates 996/986 and Audi TT on the same mounting!
I have them in my Cayman and they really are fantastic. They seem to be just about the best compromise between a seat that works on track and one that works on the road (ie. I can just about get out of the car in tight parking spaces).
I fitted aftermarket heating elements to mine (the original seats were heated) so they even offer a bit of luxury in the winter.
So one seat in this evening, ran out of time for the other. Bought a dedicated subframe from corbeau. Not cheap and came with no instructions just to make it a tad more interesting! Basically a small mechano set! Pleased with seats though, work well, seem comfy and supportive
That seat looks lovely, you can recline that forwards also so have access to rear seats?
Only thing that puts me off on aftermarket seats is the large logos of th seats brand.
Yep, goes forward and access to the rear is ok. I don't like the branding so I've ordered some dye to make it black as it's stitched in. Think that may look subtly decent
