Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 2003 996. Today when my wife was driving the vehicle she had a warning of loss of oil pressure, the warning activated after a trip of about 90 miles. She stopped the car and re-started and all was fine. I have since driven it this afternoon without problem. Oil level is good and oil pressure currently fine. Any one any ideas what the problem may have been?

POST 2Original post

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 5Original post

Hi Mine did the same thing on my 996 4S. I replaced the oil pressure switch for around £40 and it solved the problem. Cliff
