Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks all, assumed the 'hide the aerial in the a-pillar' was tried & tested, not just a suggestion.

Suggestion
My theory, and I haven't tested it as I have put my car back to the std stereo as going to sell it, was to replace the A pillar booster with the silver amp and connect in the windscreen antenna.
Leading evidence: 'Test not just a suggestion' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace pillar booster' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
You would just need to run a dab feed back from the A pillar to the headset.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Still having DAB issues myself on the PCCM+ but haven't had chance to try an alternative DAB aerial yet.
Hi, is there an alternative to the stick-on film type on the underneath of the windscreen?
Obviously don't want to fit a shark-fin to the roof but are there any other options please?
Would be great if it was hidden, don't mind paying appropriately.
Thanks!
Would be interested to know if this works if you do give it a try.

I don't think the little box would fit under the A pillar trim and as you say reception would be worse, they aren't exactly great as it is so covering it up may not help?
I have been faffing around with dab aerials too, the stick on windscreen one does not give great reception so I got one similar this bee sting to play with. I don't want to drill a hole in my roof, so tried different positions in the car.
Held onto the roof, good reception.
Stuck inside the front bumper, variable, no better than stick on
Taped to A pillar. inside worse than stick on
Stuck to middle of screen inside, same as stick on.
Layed flat in behind rear window, worse
Stuck vertically inside rear window same as stick on
Stuck at angle inside rear window, worse than stick on.
I realise how much money new car designers spend getting their dab aerials to work. In my merc I think its integrated in the glass filaments and its faultless.
Depends on area, some people get great results with stick on.
I was hoping there may be a booster that would stick on the external side of the windscreen opposite the internal part to help reception but I haven't found anything like that
Thanks all, assumed the 'hide the aerial in the a-pillar' was tried & tested, not just a suggestion. Can't imagine this will work well in hindsight.
There must be a better alternative without having to fit an external shark-fin or bee-sting to the roof, which I just don't want to do.
How please do the PCCM upgraded head-units get their DAB signal?
Just out of interest, where is the standard FM aerial? - Could this not be boosted to pick up DAB???
Thanks
I fitted one of these to the top, middle of the rear screen and got decent reception.

Car long gone sadly and I didn't take any pics of the aerial when fitted! :?
but it didn't look THAT bad really!
Better than drilling the roof!
I used one of these in the rear wing of a subaru I bought as i wanted to eliminate the electric antenna.

I tried the stupid stick on antenna on the inside and it was crap. I actually moved it out side of the car and located it under the windscreen scuttle above the cabin air filter which was moderately successful.
