This is not a probability of success.

Reported cause
I'd put money that your problem is the condensers.
Leading evidence: 'condensers' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'condensers' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install (aka max power stylee)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

When I get them replaced, plus the front PU respprayed I'll have some mesh fitted (aka Max Power stylee).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My car has been parked away and not driven for large periods of time! Now that I have been driving it more I noticed the air conditioning is just blowing out air...
I went to re-gas it but the guys tried for ages and said the gas is being lost somewhere as it does not retain it --
I am going to be taking it Wednesday to show someone else but was just wondering if anyone could help me out on this one
Cheers
Condesing problem.
I recently had a similar problem and it turned out to be one of the condesers which had corroded. A new one cost about £160 and £100 from my local friendly mechanic to fit.
chances are your condensor or both are covered in leaves which build up moisture causing the corrosion, have a look through you bumper vents to check
had a boxster in earlier with the bottom of condensor had fallen of because of of build up of rubbish they collect..
and have only ever changed one pipe in my 5 years at opc but countless condensors
shine a torch through the grills in the front bumper. There is normally a dark oil stain on the bumper that is leaking.
get the part number from OPC and google it - you'll find the same part from a specialist reseller made by Behr (same as OPC) at £100 per condenser cheaper.

Ok I had a quick look - I presume there are two condensers one on either side? There is no obvious rust that I could see - but it does look weathered
I dont know if this helps but when I went to get the car re-gassed, it started to push cold air through while they were trying to circulate the gas.. however when they stopped it would go back to normal again -- would coldish air still come out if the condenser had gone? Could it be a leak instead
Not sure what seems more likely?
my '99 c4 has staarted to blow warm air...had a look in the bumper, and both my condensers have seen better days. When I get them replaced, plus the front PU respprayed I'll have some mesh fitted (aka Max Power stylee).
I'd put money that your problem is the condensers. I suggest getting your front bumper removed and you'll be able to see. the condensers are aluminium so don't rust - they do however corode due to leaves and other rubbish that gets blown in and has nowhere to go.
Let us know how you get on

These guys supply the original Behr Condensers - this is the one for a C4S and TT, approx £100 cheaper per side.
