Help..i need to disconnect the battery so that i can swap the alarm sensor. Trouble is as soon as i take off the negative cable the alarm goes off Am i missing something ? Cheers Simon

The alarm siren has a backup battery inside it, and it "thinks" that someone is trying to steal the battery. Switch the ignition on, but don't start the engine, before you disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Do the repair, reconnect the battery, and switch the ignition off.
