Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All. Just bought myself a 2003 Carrera 4 Cab last week. Starting to dive in on the smaller issues first and I started with the brake light which was out on the driver side. Looks like one of the metal prongs which makes contact with the brake light bulb itself snapped off. Does anyone know if the sockets are available on their own for purchase? I tried searching for just the brake light socket itself and had no luck. Looks like the harnesses themselves are anywhere from $100-$250 online which is a bit steep. I guess my best case scenario is that someone has an old harness laying around that they could just cut off the brake light socket so I can attach it to my current harness. Any suggestions on fixes or possible replacements? Thanks!

I'm in this exact position myself right now. About to order a whole harness but would rather not pay the $170 for such a simple fix. Anyone happen to have one?

I answered your PM. For future reference: I have several sets of used taillight harnesses still available. Most are narrow body, but I also have one wide body set. I'm asking $40 shipped each per side. These typically sell for 50 bucks and up on Ebay. PM me if you need one!
