Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

A little nervous regarding emissions as it was the first time with my 100 cell cats.
Leading evidence: 'first time' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'first time' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check brakes etc' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I use an MoT station with an inspection pit rather than ramps, and they do the brake test by driving the car and using the old-fashioned accelerometer.

They don't have to put it on a ramp, the tester can drive it to check the brakes etc.

But it's not just brake tests - they need to inspect suspension, steering, exhaust, wheel bearings, chassis etc

I had to watch in amazement as my tester drove my TT onto the single roller to test the brakes......I had to run into the garage very quickly to remind him it was 4WD

Suggestion
I know 4WD shouldn't be tested on the single roller and obviously a high speed run would be an issue - but the speeds used for brake test are walking speed.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Pleased to say it passed.

The printout records it was well within limits.
Only £40 too, well chuffed.

Talking to the chap at a local MOT centre when I had my wifes car (front wheel drive VW) tested he was adament he'd done hundreds 4X4 Audi TT Porsche c4 with no problems.
What damage can it do/ how does that damage manifest itself.
Just interested - OPC do my MOT (C4S) at annual service time I hope they know what they are doing :?
