There's other specialist Porsches places as well, such as Carnewal, which are also recommended (plus one other, that I can't remember!).

30 psi seems a bit low to me, so I'd suggest that you use a different gas than air to fill to tyres to compensate for the higher heat of the track day, but run slightly less than the recommended specification.

It is suggested on here that it's better to run your PSI slightly lower than Porsche spec, but experiment to see what you prefer.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
Two seperate questions hopefully you guys will be able to help me out.
1. I have a 911 turbo with the carbon fibre kit option inside, not sure if anyone else has this option, but if they have, have they noticed the trim round the top of the dash warping. Mine is starting to look a right mess now inside on the top. So does anyone sell these carbon fibre bits as I cannot find them for sale and if anyone does sell them what is the best way of installing them and removing the old ones? I'm sure Porsche will rip me off. I do have the warranty cover though, will this be covered on that?
2. Just come back from the Nurburgring, had 3 days out there. Took the turbo and my track scooby. Took both round and both was superb. Spoke to a few fellow Porsche owners about trye pressures and it was mixed bag of info. I pushed the car really hard round the track, no holds barred stuff and tyre pressures got high, I've noticed this on other track days also. I tend to let air out to about 38/40 running hot. One guy was telling me to run them at 30 hot! Does that sound right? I didn't to me.
I'm running Porsche Pirelli, and it really did skirm around alot when warm.
Gonna sneak another question in
3. Toyo R888's. Opinions on these for the turbo, had these on the scooby and they were fantastic. How much is a full set on the turbo, anyone have any idea?
Comments more than welcome,
Firthy.
P.S
*****, another question, were is the best place for new mats, I don't want cheap looking ones, I want some nice looking ones.
1. I have CF option pack in my car and it's not warping at all.
You can order individual CF parts from here:

Hi,
I had the same trouble with the carbon strips on the top of the dash. Problem is that they get the full force of the sun and curl up. They are £350 to replace, and they may do it again, so I had my OPC replace them with standard panels which cost £110 and it looks perfectly acceptable.
regular Pirelli Rossos? Not very good tyres, and yes they are VERY squirmy on the 911. On track, because they move so much, they are a difficult tyre to stabilise temperature wise - and therefore pressure wise. I'd keep them at around 38-40 hot, which could be as low as 26 cold depending on how hard you push them.
Toyo R888s are a track-biased tyre and miles apart from the Pirelli Rossos in performance on track. Totally different tyre (very stiff sidewalls unlike the Rossos which have very soft sidewalls) and a much sticker compound. I wouldn't hesitate to use R888s on the road unless you are strongly adverse to road noise.
