But when I was checking the lights the morning of my departure, I noticed that the yellow lights in the headlight cluster (the front of the car) didn't come on with the rest of the running lights.

When I picked up the car, I checked the turn signals (and they work fine), and saw that the clear side marker lights the PO installed did work as well.

Just got back from Rennsport IV (fabulous time!). The car is a '99 996 Cabriolet. It has clear lenses on the front, with yellow bulbs. When I picked up the car, I checked the turn signals (and they work fine), and saw that the clear side marker lights the PO installed did work as well. But when I was checking the lights the morning of my departure, I noticed that the yellow lights in the headlight cluster (the front of the car) didn't come on with the rest of the running lights. Are they supposed to come on with the running/parking lights? If so, I wonder why they aren't on... Thanks for any help!

my don't come on either except for when turning. I believe that to be normal. Pete

Those are directionals only. The parking lights are clear and mounted at about 9oclock on pass side and 3oclock on drivers

Thank you! I took the headlight cluster out and checked. Both parking light bulbs were burned out! I can't believe the PO hadn't known or checked these out. New bulbs were $1.48 a the local NAPA store and seem to work well now.
