Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The OPC had not changed it when they replaced the CD Reader Unit.

Unfortunately I don't know the OPC where the unit was replaced.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi I'm new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the code for my PCM1 navigation system. I have the PCM code but the Nav unit has been replaced and I don't have the correct code. Any help would be appreciated.
If you have PCM 1 there should be two separate codes (both on little silver coloured cards) one for PCM and the other for the Nav part... Supplying OPC (for the nav unit) should be able to help: They did with mine.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I have spoken to the dealer and they couldn't get it. They tried the factory but no joy.
I have the silver cards, but the Navigation code does not work. I am presuming the unit has been replaced.
I actually bought my car from an OPC (East London Centre) and they have been incredibly helpful. Even though you didn't get your car from them, I would have thought that your local centre should should still try to sort the problem out. After all, they'll be keen for you to get it serviced there.
I would persevere, because having the PCCM unit disabled will affect your resale value.
Good luck
Cheers
Clive
I have tracked down the OPC and would you beleive it, it is East London. I spoke to them earlier and they are going to get the file from the archives. They do seem very helpful. My local OPC is Wilmslow and they were rubbish!
It might be a long shot, but the codes are sometimes entered into the Vehicle Data section of the DME (ECU), at the factory or by the supplying dealer. If you are lucky, an OPC or indy should be able to read them out with a PIWIS or PST2 diagnostic tester.
No luck with the OPC unfortunately. The original guy I spoke to was helpful, but I ended up dealing with the service manager and he was not very helpful at all. Very poor attitude.
The code that comes back from the diagnostics is the original code. The OPC had not changed it when they replaced the CD Reader Unit.
