Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Might also check the coolant temp sensor as I had a small leak and it was the simple seal or o-ring on that part that caused my leak.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Boxster started leaking coolant. Did a vacuum test and it did not hold a vacuum. I took a look at the water pump which seems to be the common issue with coolant leaks but it was dry. Looking for pointers on where next I should look to identify the leak.

POST 2Original post

Check the cap and the unions of the long pipes underneath it.

POST 3Original post

UV dye in the coolant and a GOOD UV flashlight....take on your next hotel trip for fun and adventure.....

POST 4Original post

You should pressurize the cooling system to see where it is leaking from, you can 'rent' (leave a deposit..) a cooling pressure tester at Autozone

POST 5Original post

Might also check the coolant temp sensor as I had a small leak and it was the simple seal or o-ring on that part that caused my leak. Just replaced only the seal as the temp sensor was operating correctly!

POST 6Original post

Appreciate the suggestions! Coolant levels seem stable over the last few spirited drives. Will get some UV dye to troubleshoot.

POST 7Original post

I learned that trick from my land Rover days. If you ever forgot where you parked it you just got down wind and you could smell the antifreeze.
