Afternoon all, I hope you’re enjoying the sun where you are with the Porsche 👌🏻 The major service on the 987.1 last month is extremely recognisable. She had the sparks, belt, all filters and replacement oil and fluids changed. What a drive!! I thought it was good before, but these changes have made the drive even better. It’s so hard to explain, but it’s even more exciting to drive👌🏻

Glad you're feeling it. But that's all pretty routine maintenance stuff and nothing that should normally give it a performance boost - unless it was long past due (ie previously neglected).

All the services have been on point and that was my main reason for buying her 3 years ago. She’s had two majors with me now and one minor service. The biggest difference might be the stuff I mentioned above and my new crossover pipes. She just feels quality👌🏻

Yeah, though so. I think RSchwerer thought you meant a change to the exhaust. The coolant crossover pipes will make no difference at all to the feel of the car.

Exactly. To be honest I've never heard of this and don't understand why it would be beneficial unless driving in extreme conditions. Like heavy and prolonged track usage.

Even then it wouldn’t make any difference. they just look OEM, no ‘upgrades’ exist.

I assume they did an alignment after the coolant pipes as they will have lowered the subframe. That will improve handling and feel if yours was out of spec

Thats right. Subframe was lowered to get to those crossover pipes. I also noticed that she’s holding on to the lower gears longer and getting higher revs before gearing up with the auto transmission. The sparks might be behind that change.. I can’t be certain though.
