Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Evening All, I have a clip of my Cayman S engine below and I was keen to find out if it sounds like a normal running engine. I don’t have any issues, but it was nice to give it a clean up before she goes in for a major service tomorrow. let me know your thoughts

POST 2Original post

So she’s still in for a major service, but the 987CS needs a bit of work. Water leak due to corrosion, so all water pipes underneath need to be replaced. Slight play on passenger side control arm and ball joint needs to be replaced as well. The final bill is going to be over £2k! 😭

POST 3Original post

Sounds normal. It always sounds a bit different with the insulation cover removed.

POST 4Original post

sounds like my engine. i was kinda of worried abt "ticking noise" on my car but i was told its normal.

POST 5Original post

It’s a relief that it sounds normal. I’m always listening out for noises thats why It’s good to get a second opinion.

POST 6Original post

It’s a relief that it sounds normal. I’m always listening out for noises and I worry myself for no reason.
