I have a REVO Select, a full Supersprint Exhaust System, and a Fabspeed Cold Air Intake, on my 996 C2 all supplied and fitted by the Porscheshop.

I opted for the more expensive REVO option because of your ability to switch between Performance, Standard, and Security (Security enables you to prevent the car being started even f the ECU is replaced) This transformed the car :thumb: .

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello people,I would like to change the rear silencers on my 2002 996.Has anyone used or know of Dansk or Milltek rear boxes and what they sound like ? I have a set of s/s manifolds to use and would like to hear who has used what on their cars.My other upgrade would be K & N induction kit or the E-voms set up with a Revo update around September. Is this a good way to go ?.Thanks
Welcome Phillip, lots of options from an exhaust front - I have a PSE but this only gives aural pleasure as will the induction kit at 4000rpm with WOT, a combination of a MAP and induction kit does make the car feel more responsive in improves the mid range.
There are various offers on here at the from the porscheshop and vividracing etc etc
Good luck and happy reading
- Simon
Hi Philip,
I'm in the same position but have decided the PSE is the way forward. I'm just waiting for a special offer to crop up. WL OPC quoted me £2200 without a switch a few weeks ago.

Is there a maximum noise level dbs for the MOT? The only info I have found is its up to the testers discretion and if you get pulled over by the police, its up to the officers discretion....is this correct? which is why I am more interested in a pse instead of some modified mufflers of ebay.
£1500 pre VAT at Northways. But best give them a call as they had to source an axhaust and that was price dependent. yes included switch and also installed in the way that the noise doesn't cut out at the low speeds. Car passed MOT no probs. Cruising around its not that loud, more a deep rumble. Its when you pass the 4000 rpm mark that it really barks.
Hi all,
A am just over a week into 996 C4S (MY '04) ownership now, and loving every single minute of it. Have come from E46 M3, and what I've lost in practicality have more than made up for in handling and serious grinning.....!
Anyway, I have been looking into PSE, re-mapping, induction kits etc, and could do with some advice. DMS verbally quoted me 27-29bhp increase for their re-map, £850 +VAT. REVO say +10-20bhp, +12-18Nm, £699 +VAT.
Then, K&N Series 63 Aircharger kit claims +23.80hp @ 5500rpm on 996.
Guessing though that any re-map should take into account any intake / aircharger kit and exhaust (system) fitted. :?
Big Bob - the 'package' that Porscheshop fitted for you sounds good - did the REVO Select account for your system and cold air intake? Any idea on performance improvements? Also, how much if it's not too rude to ask?!
Cheers!

However like a small child I now wanted more!!!!!!! :hand:
So I had Paul at the Porsche Shop do me deal on the Fabspeed Cold Air Induction Kit (£200 inc VAT fitted), and the Full Supersprint Exhaust System, ie Manifolds, Cats, Mufflers, and Tips (£2,500 inc VAT fitted).
The REVO adapted automatically to the new components with no additional reprogramming. Paul will confirm this is the case.
This combination further transformed the car  .
I suspect that there is probably about 360+BHP on tap now  .
Others on the Forum are sceptical, but I dont think I'm far wrong, as I've been driving performance cars for years
ld: and you build a sense of grunt and what it feels like.
One bit of good news is that the Porscheshop Prices for a full Supersprint Exhaust System have now reduced to about £2000 inc VAT(fitting extra!). (Ie Manifold, Cats, Mufflers, and Tips) If you dont have the Tips its about £200 cheaper approx.
