Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi folks- my 99c2 has developed a realy annoying squeek some where around the area of drivers side wheel arch foot pedal area which only happens at realy low speeds on smooth and bumpy surfaces sounds like a brides bed springs...ive had the suspension and bushes checked etc all ok .Local useless opc said they couldnt here anything but wanted me to cough up for a clutch, rms and aircon referb which are all perfectly fine. :floor: :frustrated: would say its rubber to metal squeek - i have checked the spare whel area. any ideas chaps ? thanks.

POST 2Original post

Hi Rich, 'Search' is your friend :thumb: have a look at this http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=21722&highlight=squeak Probably bushes, lower control arm or top mounts, or all 3 if you're really unlucky It will probably only make the noises after they heat up hence why the OPC can't diagnose, takes about an hour IIRC to get them squeaking nicely!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mmmm.....squeeks when cold and warm wet or sunny. all bushes checked and lubricated inc top mountings. driving me crackers...can even here the damm pesky squeek it in my sleep. :sleepy:

POST 4Original post

Hmmm, does it squeek when you're stationary and turn the wheel? What about when you push down on the front wings? They way I was told was turning wheel = top mounts, moving car up and down = bushes, kicking tyre = control arms. If it squeaks all the time and your OPC can't diagnose then I say take it to a good Indy.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

nope- only squeeks when moving slowly. very well looked after c2. next step hartech who do a lot for the car. but its one of those i wana have a go at my self.....very frustrating. :frustrated:
