I am doing the pilgramage next week and to be honest I am a bit nervous....the last thing I want to do is prang my prize and joy into the Armco or for some idiot to run me off the road.

The last run we had a few Ferraris and Skodas to keep us company.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Who else has done "The Ring" and what was your experience like? I hear nightmare stories of some major accidents caused by numpties whose ambition and ability are not aligned :?

awesome place! i've done it on bikes and cars and always love it. Walking round the car park is one of the highlights, like a milionaires playground. The ring is so big oyu can take it as easy as you like and let the fast boys (and numpties) fly by. Just take good look before taking racing line into the bends and go at your own pace!
I'm a ring virgin and thinking of going with a friend, he's going in his 1 week old M3 and me in my Y2000 C2. Would you mind if we tagged along? understand if it's Porsches only. My mate wants to wait until his first inspection service 1600 miles i think. Not sure if he will take it on the ring but the trip will be great!
What's the itenerary?
No, it would be great if you came along....
There are other cars than 911's - M3 CSL's and 360 !

Not Porsche only. The last run we had a few Ferraris and Skodas to keep us company. As long as you are a petrolhead and enjoy the banter then you and your friends are more than welcome.
