Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just wondering what people are getting for there temp readings.. what is it suppsoe to be(from factory) mine stays at 81ish.... before mine was idle-ing at like 84-85ish....but it drop after i deleted the secondary cats..=O?..

POST 2Original post

80 degree C = 176 degree F 84 degree C = 183 degree F The engine temp depends on ambient air temp, how hard engine is running, around town driving vs. open highway at speed, etc. In the South (warm-hot) 180-185 wasn't unusual. Remarkably, even at the track on a hot day, temps didn't get a whole lot higher (but the track had some long straights to help cool things down).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
