Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks (again!), I will be fitting a re-trimmed steering wheel later this week therefore will have the battery disconnected for a while then.

Thanks, did a search of how to reset the light and apparently on older cars disconnecting the battery for a while may work, but also came across a OBD2 reader/code clearer that also clears airbag lights.

Will make sure the belts are all in & connected correctly before then and then hopefully having the battery disconnected will re-set things.

Think this is one of those things that come up when you change the belts.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Long story short I removed my seatbelts to be sent off to be re-webbed in red.
Fitted them when they returned and all was good until I started the car and saw the Airbag failure light.
As the belts were the only work I've done I assumed the light must be something to do with having removed the seatbelts. Or perhaps it's just coincidence...
Each seatbelt 'mechanism' has a little wire and plug going to it which I had to unplug so as to remove the belts, sods-law i hadn't plugged one of the plugs back into one of the mechanism when I refitted them (was late and dark!).
Could this have triggered the airbag light?
And if so, I've obviously plugged the plug back in but the light hasn't gone out...!?
Is this something I can reset myself??
Thanks!!
Think this is one of those things that come up when you change the belts.
When I did mine my mate had a Porsche cable so plugged in the laptop and cleared the code.
2 minute job if you have access to a cable.
Thanks, did a search of how to reset the light and apparently on older cars disconnecting the battery for a while may work, but also came across a OBD2 reader/code clearer that also clears airbag lights. I have a cheap reader that clears codes but not airbag lights. Possibly I will just have to invest in a better one...
Was hoping there was an easy fix...
Not plugging the seat belt tensioner wires back in Will trigger an airbag fault code and a light on .
You can only clear an airbag code with a suitable tester for safety reasons .
Quickest or cheapest fix .. get your local indy to stick their tester on it and clear the code for you .. probably a tenna cash in hand and it saves you spending more on a tester you might not need again.

If not then will give the indy a try or worst-case just order a new & better tester....
