Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking for a diagnosis and programming interface which is able to disable the seatbelt warning chime on a 2004 996 4S. With Durametric it's not possible. Is it possible with PoCOM or Chinese PIWIS?

POST 2Original post

I'm think you can,t code it off .. you can however unplug the wire connector from the seat belt stalk .. this should make the car think the seat belt is permanently plugged in and as such you will not get a warning . lets just say i've left one unplugged on an early 996 and had no message about seat belt so im expecting it to be on all 996 and not just the early ones . Caveat .. obviously you should use a seatbelt .

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Early 996 don't have this seatbelt warning chime (at least European version), only late 996 do. Starting from 2004 or so. Never seen a European version 996 Carrera 2 that had the seatbelt warning chime. I have read that it's possible to disable it using original PIWIS. Does anybody have experience with a Chinese PIWIS?

POST 4Original post

Have you actually tried unplugging the seat belt stalk wiring ??? perhaps try it first .. or buy a piwis if you want .. Might also read what i wrote instead of instructing me as to what version has what young man . One way if it works is certainly the cheaper option . I'm afraid i only have experience of Piwis 2 and 3 .. neither of which are chinese !

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
