I've been going over my recently purchased 2004 C4S in more detail and noticed the passenger side of the motor has a decent amount of oil on it and is dripping a little bit in my driveway. Digging through the records (all from a local Porsche dealer) there is a note that a "vent hose" is leaking oil onto the motor. Any thoughts on what "vent hose" this might be? Could this be an AOS hose? Or maybe associated with the oil cooler (not sure exactly where this is mounted). I'm still getting familiar with the layout of the 911 motor--a bit different from what I'm used to in my Boxster's layout. Thanks everyone!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The AOS system vent is located in the pass rear corner of the engine on top of the head. They are usually clogged with oil residue which contributes to leaking oil in that area. The hose that connects there can leak due to a poor connection &/or bad O-ring. Recommend you purchase a new Vent & a couple O-rings. Once you get access to the old vent it is just secured with 1 bolt requiring a 10mm tool to remove & you will see the hose connection where the O-ring is.
Thanks BYProdriver! I brought the car in to my mechanic for oil and to have it looked over for any other issues, and his assessment is spot on with what you suggested. Much appreciated!
