Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also are there other vendors out there for code readers compatible with the Cayman that would help with resetting the service needed message?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

This reminder recently appeared on panel on start-up...have been having routine maintenance done by local independent rather than dealer. How do you clear this service light? Is dealer visit necessary? Thanks all.

POST 2Original post

Earlier thread offered no real answer ( http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-tech/19376-message-service-16-days.html ) other than dealer. I'd guess a code reader would be able to clear it but that may not be correct.

POST 3Original post

You can either go to the dealer for them to clear it (quoted to me at $60) or you could buy a code reader (like one from Softronic) and clear it very easily yourself. I bought a code reader and it was very easy to reset it myself.

POST 4Original post

I tried finding the code reader at softronic's web site, however I had no lock. Is this something that I would need to order over the phone or am I looking at the wrong place? Also are there other vendors out there for code readers compatible with the Cayman that would help with resetting the service needed message?

POST 5Original post

He bundles the Durametric Reader with the Softronic Engine flash.
