Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's difficult to know when looking if there is too much oil in the inlet manifold .. AOS issues etc so a few pictures of a car that Doesn't have smoking issues and this is a normal amount of oil to find in an inlet tract ... quite a lot isn't there ! You will often have oil leaks or stains on the engine below the rubber tubes.. again normal on a 996 . This is why these cars do use oil .. some cars are better than others in regards to this but either way .. a top up now and then is perfectly normal and this is more based at people working on their own cars and not knowing if this is normal or not . let's put it this way .. i have 2 identical bikes .. 1250 suzuki .. my old one never uses a drop of oil between services at 50K miles .. my new one 5 years newer has used a liter in 4K miles and it had only done 3K miles when i bought it .
