Suggestion

Sometimes the sound comes back randomly even when stationary.I've checked the fuses and phoned the guy back who said it could be putting too much power through the am & might need to change the high to the low output of the head unit to the amp.

Hi Guys, Recently bought a 987.2 2011 Boxter and had someone install a Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB. The old unit was a PCM 3.0 Non-Bose, however, the system is amplified. I've been using the system no problem for 2 weeks, but since the weekend I've had issues with no sound when starting up. Sometimes the sound comes back randomly even when stationary.I've checked the fuses and phoned the guy back who said it could be putting too much power through the am & might need to change the high to the low output of the head unit to the amp. Concerned now that the job hasn't been done from the start and it could have damaged the amp? I've checked the fuse as he ran an ignition cable to the amp & head unit. But my electrical/sound skills are limited. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, recommendations on AMP & speaker replacement if needed? Thanks
