Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've had a couple of P0348 (Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit High Bank 2) faults over the last couple of month's which reset ok.

I couldn't get between the engine block and the chassis so had to go further forward and up and over the chassis (just in front of the drive shaft) using a very long 3/8 extension bar with a flexi joint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had a couple of P0348 (Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit High Bank 2) faults over the last couple of month's which reset ok. The fault is now "hard" and comes back fairly quickly after the car has gone a few miles. I'm trying to find the position of this sensor (3 chain engine) so I can pull it out and check \ replace as necessary, can somebody point me in the right direction? thanks Alan

POST 2Original post

https://www.design911.co.uk/pages/diagramsBrowser.aspx?categoryID=1&diagramID=2567 It's part 34 here I believe.

POST 3Original post

It's the gearbox side of the engine next to cylinder 6, it is a little awkward to get to as its between the engine and chassis, you might be able to get to is with the offside wheel removed

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Mort, looking at the photo may be best to drop the back box (muffler).

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Popped the old sensor out this morning. Not too bad a job. I couldn't get between the engine block and the chassis so had to go further forward and up and over the chassis (just in front of the drive shaft) using a very long 3/8 extension bar with a flexi joint. Its fixed with a T40 cap head.
