Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Would very much like to replace the ruffled leather seats with something better/sexier.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I suppose I better introduce myself as I've been a member since 2017 and have rarely posted! My original account was set up when I bought my 997.2 C4S.
This was changed to a Lotus Elise 220 then a beautiful 2012 Cayman R, then a BMW M235 and now a 1998 C2 (purchased from a member from this forum via FGP). My name is Daz, home town is Redditch, West Midlands.
Good to meet you all!
Dave (The previous owner - nice chap by the way) modded the C2 in much the same way I would. Aero Kit from standard, lowered on H & R's, 15mm spacers all round, Eibach anti-roll bars, Stainless headers, GT3 centre console, red centre console and horse shoe, red belts front and rear, PSE with large ovals.
I have replaced the ignition switch (back still hurts!), just had a mini-service courtesy of PMR Porsche in Redditch. Removed, de-glued, cleaned and reattached the plastic Carrera scuff plates.
Jobs to do:
Replace front bonnet latch (red plastic had fallen off original), Side skirts need to come off, cleaned and reattached. They are pulling away from the top edge - double sided tape seems to have broken down over the years. Dave sold me the complete fitting kit. I have a tiny bit of rust around the door strikers, these needs sorting and I have the VW gaskets to fit once done.
I have painted the gurney strip stain black and have stuffed 3 layers of 3M tape down the recess to fit.
Would very much like to replace the ruffled leather seats with something better/sexier.
Mechanically sje's pretty sound. Coffin arms will need replacing next year and during the mini service there were 2 minor oil weeps detected.
I also bought a 2009 Discovery for day to day use.
Cant wait for the better weather and for me, I now have the 911 I have always wanted.

Welcome along Eastwood! Or welcome back rather. :thumb:
Great looking car. Mk1 Aerokit is just 'right".
That wasn't from Whitley bay in the North East was it. There was one for sale up here a while back but I can't remember it having the darker wheel centres.
Lovely anyway. Enjoy. 8)
