Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys This is where the ECU would normally live on the 996.2 is it stereo related? Pic below! Many thanks......

POST 2Original post

What It look like a telephone module :dont know:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Thats an interesting suggestion thank you! Berni

POST 4Original post

That is a Porsche Tracker and it's the Horizon model .. the most expensive one at that time . Remove it as its of no use these days and can cause flat battery issues . Car running now ?

POST 5Original post

My old C2 had a black 'GPS aerial' looking thing on the pax side A pillar, which I was told was a tracker. Was this part of the same set up?

POST 6Original post

That's not a location we would have fitted these to .. that's the normal place for aftermarket radios with on board nav .. again not a place i would fit it . Possible it was a tracker such as Navtrak but the whole point of a Tracker is to make it hidden .. anyone could trace the gps wire back to the tracker which defeats the purpose really .

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for the puzzle solve. I will remove it tomorrow. Sadly the car is still running badly. I put the latest diagnostic results on the "strange faults" thread, link below..... http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=148495 I'm almost at my wits end, which does not happen often (unless wife induced) that is. Many thanks again Berni

POST 8Original post

That makes sense. It didn't seem to be connected to anything so i removed it. Previous owner may have had it and put the original radio back before I bought it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
