Anyone upgrade to the 1.05 version of the Denison software? Problems? Recommended?
Covered in the Dension threads already...
I see a discussion on 1.4 but I'm not finding 1.5. Am I just missing it?
1.05 is a beta and not fully baked, best to wait for 2.0, 1.05 has some issues.
I didn't think 1.0.5 was a beta. Thats what you have to have with the CDR24 and it works just fine for me.
1.05 was not a beta release, though it has some issues on PCM2/2.1 (e.g. Loading text stuck on screen). The initial developing was made on a PCM1 and there were no problems there.
Hopefully 2.00 will correct the Loading thing.
I'm sorry, I promised 2.00 for this week. It is available only to a few dealers for testing purposes.
The first public release will be 2.02 on next week. (There will be some improvements on Audi compatibility and better BTA module compared to 2.00)
Also on 1.05 you cannot get into the configuration mode to set things like the autoselect for menus, you know where you toggle the switch up and down 3 times. You have to load 1.0, set your settings then upgrade to 1.05. Speaking of loading problems, I get those any time I try to search for something or navigate long track lists which is damn annoying.
GW500, will the new release have any affect on cdr24 performance at all?
1.00 is the recommended firmware for the unit. 1.05 simply added Audi MMI capability and a few other things, but some config items were removed.
If you need the 1.00 version or 1.05, just email me.
2.00 is in beta, should be ready soon to resolve any remaining issues. AND bluetooth is around the corner. We have over 100 units inbound. Slick add-on to the Dension unit.
If you are not on the 'early buy' list for the bluetooth adapter, email me.

BTW, I just had an odd glitch with my Dension 500. Audio stopped playing. It was able to see the iPod .. just no sound. I just pulled the iPod and hope that when I plug it back in everything will be fine. Still -- rather strange (i.e. I drove to work... everything was fine... drove home.. silence)
This is exactly what happened to me. Ended up the only way to reset it was to get to the denison unit, unplug it from the power, then plug it back in. The reset did not help nor did pulling the fuse or disconnecting the ipod. (Logically pulling the fuse should work unless the device is linked into some other power circuit, but according to Jaime pulling the fuse is not enough, Not sure why so maybe it is on a different circuit)
If you have trouble, email me and I will get you in touch with Jaime Rawlings who fixed it for me and did the original install. Eric at Bumperplugs originally referred Jaime to me.
I know they conferred on the issue and Jaime reports Eric was very supportive and helpful in the process
