Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think you'd buy this because you are in love with the colour (as I am, tbh, as it was the colour of the GT3 on the cover of Autocar BITD), and accept that you're being bent over a barrel on the price.
Leading evidence: 'colour of the gt3' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'colour of the gt3' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Even something simple as a switch or sensor that fails can cost a bit to replace at Porsche prices and if you are stuck going to an official dealership at £250/hour (REALLY?), I suspect the risk relative to the price has to be carefully considered, unless one is into buying a garage ornament or work of art, and far more so if you have ever dreamed of owning a 996 and can only just push to afford the one in question, which was ever the case for me when in my yoof, thus many an expensive mistake made, fortunately with time and constant employment enough to recover financially.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I saw the FGP YouTube preview of this the other day and had been keeping an eye out for it on their website out of interest. Speed yellow aerokitted C2 manual with 102k miles. My guess was £26k. I was £6k short! Wow.

Had seen the youtube preview myself and thought 22-25k which to me is still
to much but 32k :floor:
Dealers seem to be trying to push prices right up lately.
Seems to me that there are many trying to recover financially from the Covid effect, that and lockdown both in terms of compulsory saving for some, alongside the frustrations relative to all the limitations on life..? I suspect there will be plenty of folk thinking what next relative to the pox, and future events, thus being sensible seems unlikely to be top of the priority list, and that "the trade" is more than likely to be seeking to recover and capitalise in double quick time, with private sellers trying to jump on the bandwagon, we are where we are..?
In "Classic" terms originality seems to be favoured and can also effect market evaluation for old Porsches. Of course just my take,
Any 996 is an OLD car, and add to that, it is an old car with potential issues not only in it`s initial design which is widely known amongst enthusiasts, and who knows what kind of love or abuse it has suffered over the years through the hands of many owners and all those miles...Worth a bit of contemplation...?
I have not the slightest doubt that a GOOD 996 can be a wonderful Porsche to own and engage with, but it can also be a money pit, even with a PPI it seems wise to have a few bob in the back pocket to cover old car issues that might have worked well enough on the day of the PPI...BUT.
It's a cracking car, I do love the Yellow, those wheels don't do it any justification in black. 14 owners is slightly high but quite common with a sports car. No engine rebuild at £32k would be a massive issue. I'd say a better resale valuation would be 22/24k
I think you'd buy this because you are in love with the colour (as I am, tbh, as it was the colour of the GT3 on the cover of Autocar BITD), and accept that you're being bent over a barrel on the price.
Shame that the previous owner didn't get to enjoy it more than they did.
Exactly. If you aren't fussy about colour then you will get a silver or black aero car eventually. And if you aren't fussy about colour or aero then you'll get a 996 right now for a lot less.
However, if you really want a yellow or red 911 then you're going to be paying top whack. If you try searching on any platform for any NA 996.1/2 or 997.1/2 you'll find you have a choice of maybe 2 or 3 cars at any given time.
So I can well see why a dealer would give an ambitious price a go. You never know when that 1 buyer might be out there.
