Hello everyone. Today I had my dension ipod adapter installed at my dealership but they had a problem installing it. When my ipod is hooked up and playing it only shows the first 3 playlists. I think I figured out what they did wrong when I got home. I think they set the dip switches to Porsche mode that was in the manual and not the specific dip settings Eric from Bumperplugs,1-2-3 off and 4 on. Does anyone else think this is it. My second problem is I have no idea where they installed the unit itself so I can check the dip switches. Anyone know where most like it will be installed? Front trunk or somewher else?
Its most likely either in the front boot where the cd changer should be, or behind the glove compartment. If its in the boot, it will be easy to access and change.
I hope its in the front as well. I took the piece underneath the glove both of yesterday and took a quick look around but didn't see anything. Gotta read some articles on how to get into the front trunk now.
Well I looked in the front nothing. I found it behind the CD Head Unit. Took it out and set the dip switches to the cayman setting and uploaded the new 1.05 firmware and now the player works fine. I told the installer the to follow the special instructions in the box and he insisted he knew since he installed so many of these.
We ship the CDR24 units with specific settings information that must be done in order to get the unit to work properly. Guess your installer doesn't read the freaking manual either.
Glad it got worked out though. Email me anytime with questions:

I installed the Dension on our Bose - CDR24 system a week ago and had the dealer activate the CD Changer last Friday. So far everything works perfect! The sound is great and while you don't get song and artist titles at least you know what playlist and track your listening to.
The install was easy with the Bose. I disconnected the fiber optic feed into the Bose amp and routed it to the Dension and then back into the amp with one of the supplied cables. I used industrial strength velcro to stick the Dension components onto the charcoal canister and connected directly to the plug for the CD changer power supply. All of the wires and fiber optic cables hide neatly behind the trunk liner so the entire system looks totally stock. I haven't decided whether to put the iPod inside the CD holder in the glove box or leave it in the trunk.
I recommend this to anyone who is tired of futzing with CDs while driving. The dealer had not seen one of these before but was very entusiastic about the potential for solving a problem that a lot of customers complain about.
