I had my Cayman S in for its 20K mi service and the dealer forgot to reset the computer reminder for the service interval. Does anyone know an easy way to reset this without having to take it back to the dealer? I haven't seen this issue addressed in the forums yet, unless I've missed something. Searching the internet, it looks like autoparts stores want to sell a $300-400 device to do this.

Wow, a bit pricey to reset a service reminder I'd bet there is another way and maybe we just don't know? For example, in the last car I had and my other car, the same "maintenaince" indicator goes on ... in fact the one on my SUV is on now but I have no intention of changing the oil because I did it way before the recommended interval so I will reset it next time I change the oil. In both cases people dug up the Factory directions (which are not in any manual) to reset the indicator by doing some instructions by hitting certain buttons in a sequence. I have no idea if this is true for a Porsche. I'd just take it back to the dealer and tell them to clear it. It's their fault they didn't.
