Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Further to my recent post about my clutch found a few people who I was considering. I.e. Ramus, Porsche Shop and a local garage who also prepare rally cars.
I am getting it done from the last one as they were the cheapest and a clutch change is a very simple process.
The clutch has stop being as noisy as it was may be because I put it into neutral when at the lights, hills etc. The pedal is also not sticking any more. Not been blasting around in it either. Infact it does not really make noise, its only really slipped once or twice and like yesterday on the motorway at 3.5rpm in sixth.
So it made me think is it really going, well I blasted the car around the town and still no slipping, tried the third gear blast it up a hill, did not slip.
The clutch pedal is hard, and the bite-ing point quite low, occasional noise no towards the top of the pedal dip. I.e. as i start to dip it i makes a noise sometimes, and then as it pressed in more it goes away.
So apart from the occasional slip, does it really need doing now and will it cause more issues if I leave it. thanks H
If you really want to tell, drive a 996 with a recent clutch change. The reason I say this is because when I bought my 996 with 16,000 miles on it, the clutch didn't feel that heavy to me as I was used to cable clutches. I had mine changed at about 20,000 miles (IIRC) and the clutch felt so light it was like a different car. Try a test drive at your local OPC.
You'll know, one way or the other, after that.
Just had the gearbox taken out for the clutch it had worn quite bad, the plate was shot but also clutch bearing had slipped out of the location fork hence the reason the noise had stopped. Flywheel was ok though. The clutch is being sorted now so hopefully like new when i pick it up. thanks for the advice guys H
