Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone let a cayman s sit for 75 to 80 days. I am a merchant seaman and will be leaving my car in a condo parking lot under a cover for 75 to 80 days. One option is to remove the battery and put it on a tender in the apartment. Does anyone know what I would have to do to re-install and use the car i.e. compter functions, radio functions etc. I also would have to leave the front compartment unlatched under the cover.

POST 2Original post

Welcome to the forum John. Here is what I found in a search of the forum that I think will be helpful to you: http://www.planet-9.com/showthread.php?t=6385&highlight=storing I don't think there are radio codes. Some other functions will be restored with a short drive but there may be others that require a visit to the dealer. You don't have to leave the front latch unlocked to use a tender. The wire can be run up by the windshield if connected to the battery or by the "A" piller if plugged into lighter socket. See: http://www.planet-9.com/showthread.php?t=11166&highlight=battery+tender The bigger problem will be doing without the CS for that long I suspect...
