Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Should I replace the hard preformed lines with flexible stuff or just leave them be?

The reason the rubber fuel line has no clamps is that Porsche uses one time use barb ends on the metal section; to remove you have to cut it off, then shorten the hose and reattach by pushing onto the barb.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While replacing AOS I noticed cracks in some vacuum lines. Upon more careful inspection the cracks appear in rubber covering plastic only and probbaly are or were just fine as the car was running great. Should I rip these out and replace them while I have access?
Wondering if i may open a can of worms in doing so. Looking at what Pelican offers I only see various rubber options. Should I replace the hard preformed lines with flexible stuff or just leave them be?
Feel free to correct me all you want! I'm new to this car and have never seen the engine out of one so I am learning as I go. What your saying makes perfect sense. I saw what appeared to be plain rubber lines without any clamps and quickly jumped to the conclusion they were vacuum. Very glad I asked and didn't mess with them!
This freaking car is killing me. I just spent at least two hours trying to get the threads to catch on that rear allen screw on the back of the AOS. I'm to the point where i think i'll buy a few 1/4 in drive flexible extensions and have someone else turn them with a screw drive handle while I wiggle the allen socket around trying to get it to grab and prey it doesn't cross thread.
The reason the rubber fuel line has no clamps is that Porsche uses one time use barb ends on the metal section; to remove you have to cut it off, then shorten the hose and reattach by pushing onto the barb.
And here is something that might help with your Allan bolt alignment problem:
the shaft flexes to allow your to move the fastener a bit to get it started.
Thanks, i alreadt tried one like that but i think if i attach several of them and route it so that someone can spin it from behind the engine while i try to guide it from underneath the car hopefully i'll be able to get it back in. Tried for hours alone with multiple arrangements and got no where.
Turns out the problem on the rear allen screw on the AOS was that a small wiring harness was partially lodged under the AOS preventing the screw from making contact with the threads. It was only after I removed the new unit could I see this with a m
irror!
Turns out there is a small wiring harness which a portion of was under the rear flange of the AOS so the allen head bolt couldn't catch the threads. Only found it after I removed the new AOS trying to figure out why the bolt wouldnt go in.
