Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had a 996 now for 10 years and the wipers have never worked well. they squeak and chatter and frankly do a loud job of wiping the window..... which is kind of their only function. To make matters worse... I live in one of the wettest cities in the world so driving the car on nice days only means I would rarely drive it. Anyone out there find a better wiper than oem?

POST 2Original post

No, but I have not looked since mine work fine. Are you buying new oe blades? The passenger side is longer & curved to conform to the windshield. Make sure glass is clean & Rain-X works wonders too. Porshe engineers for the autobon so if not wiping great something has deteareated.

POST 3Original post

I've seen marked improvements with the RainX Latitude Water Repellency blades. They are the beam type and not the conventional type. If you read up, the conventional blades only offer a limited amount of flex. So no matter what blade you buy, they may not fit very well with the windshield of the car.
