The factory Boxster / Cayman “T” tip section allows for exhaust gasses to crash into each other when coming out of the muffler before exiting the tips. This cost cutting method creates turbulence and hurts performance. By incorporating a smooth, cast X-pipe into the rear section this allows for a more efficient flow path from the exhaust gases. A small increase in gas mileage during cruising and more power when accelerating aggressively should be expected.

Mikalor clamps
for their high strength and durability on the single wall variants. The black tips are PVD coated for durability and heat resistance but it's a very costly process to us. Every order is expanding foam packed and backed with high insurance - we also back our parts with a Lifetime Warranty. Hopefully you find that we're trying to offer the most fair price while keeping the lights on! Our dealers are often willing to offer a better price and we do provide a forum discount as well!

I did the 987 Soul cat-back last season and it has held up perfectly, excellent customer service and completes the 'look' I was going for nicely.
I chose the satin X pipe tips on the set and screams quality, impressive when an American company can still produce world-class products.
Cost? well I never looked back once it was delivered and installed, it was the right choice and, as said, is in alignment with other exhaust vendor pricing. This is one of the 'you get what you pay for' examples that still exist. Go for it!
Slant cut, Signature finish silver tips ordered! Shame I'll have to crawl under the car to appreciate how well they match my Long Tube Street Headers....

These have me thinking that I may consider deleting the twin tips in bright silver option on my 2019 configuration and order these. It actually amounts to about a $250 savings over ticking the box on the configurator.

Update:
I can distinctly hear a difference in sound, especial with
PSE
in sport mode. It's difficult to describe, except to say that it sounds "sportier", which is an unexpected but welcome benefit to my ears.
It's a well made product, shipped quickly and securely packaged, and I think it adds a subtle aesthetic and audible upgrade to my
Boxster S
Limited Edition.

. We were asked for a less aggressive option so we are offering a version that is 1" shorter - the logo will barely stick out.
Just an observation but is there a possibility of doing one the is a roiled single wall like the OE? Just my preference, but I don’t like double wall nor the single wall without the end rolled. Just my thoughts. I like your style of finish and the SOUL logo, just not the pipe type. I would think it might be a compromise between the two you offer.

Here are some of our 3.5" single wall tips being built. After the inlets are welded to the shells, we move forward with notching the inlets and bumping them up to receive tip rings - which allow for slight adjustment of the tips. After that, we finish them depending on your desires - satin, brushed, coated - any way you want!
