I wonder how much installation by the dealer would run for the center console...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I was thinking of the painted center console and during my quest I came across the following <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="1%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> <td width="1" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000"> <td colspan="3" height="1"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="1%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> <td width="1" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000"> <td colspan="3" height="1"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="1%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> <td width="1" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000"> <td colspan="3" height="1"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="1%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> <td width="1" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000"> <td colspan="3" height="1"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="1%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> <td width="1" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000"> <td colspan="3" height="1"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

POST 2Original post

Site sponsor BumperPlugs can set you up with that...

POST 3Original post

I called them earlier with respect to the painted console, however I was unawre that they also have Carbon Fibre

POST 4Original post

F1, do you have a picture of the entire exterior of the car? I wanted to see how the side mirrors looked against the color of the car.

POST 6Original post

I'm seriously considering the carbon fiber center console from Bumper Plugs. Not sold on the mirrors tho. I wonder how much installation by the dealer would run for the center console...

POST 7Original post

Well considering that my dealer charged me $150 to put in teh sport shifter and that requires removing and reinstalling the center console I don't think your dealer should charge you more than 2 hours labor. You can, of course, do it yourself if you are so inclined.

POST 8Original post

f1: did i see a TECHART Cayman S? wow,is that yours? how much did you spend in total for those mods?

POST 9Original post

I called Eric at Bumper Plugs and the CF center console is going to run around $1,300. That CF stuff is pricey! I'll probably just settle for the painted center console in artic silver. K-Man, your yellow center console looks pretty sweet.

POST 10Original post

Thanks, and yes carbon fiber is more expensive than painted plastic... I usually reserve CF for something that is a structural member where you can get some weight savings, like doors, hood, etc. but I realize many people like to dress up their interiors with it...

POST 12Original post

doesn't tequipment have a carbon console? if not, i know they have the shifter, steering wheel, and ebrake. I'm working with a carbon specialist to deck out the interior with all silver carbon fiber parts. Can't wait for them to arrive. Edited by - Speed Racer S on 09/06/2006 1:20:43 PM
