Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All. My friend wants to fit a baby seat to the back of the car, we searched on here the results and tried his Maxi Cosy Priory which is one seat mentioned that would fit. However it did not. Is there a seat out there that fits in the back that would ensure that the passenger in the front (who is 6' tool) can sit quite comfrotably? The baby is 18 months old. cheers Dejan

POST 2Original post

I think your best bet is to go along with the car to a shop which has a good range of seats and get them to try some. They are trained, and will know if a particular seat fits OK. FWIW, the Porsche Prince fits fine, but they are rare, and some don't like the say they secure the nipper. Personally, if its good enough for the TUV, that's good enough for me!

POST 3Original post

Your mate isn't going to take kindly to being called a Tool Dejan! He can take the car to an out of town world of Mothercare and try various seats in before you buy. The Mamas and Papas pro-tec works well in the 997 - although mine is in the Audi with the Porsche seat in the Porsche

POST 4Original post

I used to use a Mamas and Papas pro-tec in the back of my old 996, they fit very well, I probably only ever used it twice and now it's just gathering dust in the play room as it doesn't fit in the new car. Perhaps I should think about selling it ... :?: I've even got a pic of it installed after replying to a similar thread on PH!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers all for the replies and the pic too. Hahahah, and I was about to send the link to him to read, cheers Jamie.

POST 6Original post

The Maxi Cosi Tobi is an good alternative. This has a much narrower base than than many other seats. It is tight, but has worked fine for us for the last 18 months. The Tobi also has straps that spring out of the way when uncliped. This avoids them twisting and getting stuck under your little one. Have just moved up to the next seat that uses the 3 point seatbelt. Again, a tight fit we are now using a Maxi Cosi Rodi XR
