Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

I would be interested. How much installed with NO rear valance? Thx

POST 3Original post

Questions: 1) How much acceleration would we gain in sec say 0-60? 2) Will it improve the engine/mufler sound..clip..? 3) What if you live overseas...how would we get it installed? Ecu? 3) Shipping costs? THANKS and welcome to this site...COCO

POST 4Original post

installation will likely run 5-8 hours in your local speedshop. We are basically subsidizing the valance as you need to use it for the exhaust to look its best. If you dont want it...minus $200!

POST 5Original post

Sounds pretty interesting! Edited by - JBallog on 06/03/2006 09:34:17 AM

POST 6Original post

1) We think that 0-60 is a limited 'yardstick' - expect up to .3 sec off. What you will have is more low end torque and a much better breathing top end. 2) The exhaust sounds AWESOME - very aggressive, w/ a deep rumble, but not too loud when you dont STOMP on it. 3) It depends on where you are - 9ff has dealers in many countries. 4) Domestic shipping is based on distance from our stateside warehouse/customs point of entry. Overseas shipping is partly built into the price. If you are overseas - we can work some thing out. Send us an email! Thanks a lot!

POST 11Original post

There are some, not sure if they want their names known or not, sometimes people don't want others to know what they are buying, least of all their spouses! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/tounge_smile.gif

POST 12Original post

That's cool I totally understand. Just trying to find out if we hit the 5 sales limit or not. I will try contacting Emeka at Eurocar to find out.

POST 13Original post

Gaz27 - I too will be in Las Vegas from July 22-27. Will you have the Cayman with you? Would like to see a beautiful car in Front of the Bellagio!

POST 14Original post

I didn't intend to. However, I was willing to drive down there if I was going to have the 9ff kit installed. I'm just not sure on my final schedule yet.

POST 15Original post

gaz....we can certainly arrange for your install while you are in LV. How much time will you have in town?

POST 16Original post

2-3 days. I will let you guys know as soon as I can finalize my schedule.

POST 17Original post

This seems like great value, I wish I could get some of those extra horses in the Uk for that sort money

POST 19Original post

Thanka lot guys, we had a great response. The first wave of superCayman will be released unto the unsuspecting public. Carreras...beware (in fact, be afraid!).

POST 20Original post

Can I get this in Australia? If so who do I contact? How to do it?

POST 21Original post

I know the group buy is probably full (and I'm not quite ready yet), but I had a question or two for you ECB. Do you have any sound files of the +40 powerkit exhaust sound? I would really like to hear the difference and I think others would too. What happens to your warranty if this kit is added? Is your complete warranty voided? Is it going to be limited thereafter? Does 9ff give any sort of warranty on their work? Thanks in advance.

POST 22Original post

To add to Smounic's request - could you also please post the dyno result of the conversion. You mentioned the conversion adds 55 HP. Thanks, Paul

POST 23Original post

The baseline dyno on 9ff’s cayman w/ 1000miles was 289HP. After the Powerkit+40HP, the peak number was 350HP (344 corrected). 9ff uses a euro MAHA dyno (great for tuning, but conservative numbers). It measures HP in Kw and torque in Nm. Give me a call/email so that I can get you a copy as well as help with its interpretation. Ph: [phone removed] x 996 [email removed] All you need are three to get the group buy price. $8600 vs $9400.

POST 24Original post

I live in Vegas and ordered the kit from Emeka last week. Hopefully it will be installed here in mid July.

POST 25Original post

Is this upgrade legal in CA (the chip upgrade)? What happens to the Porsche warranty? I bought the extended 7 yrs warranty. Thanks,

POST 26Original post

heres my response to a similar topic in the thread 'the most powerful cayman....' <hr noshade="noshade" size="1" /> A 9ff exhaust and/or ECU tune never made an engine fail. 9ff's ECU upgrades are simply not reverse engineering 'hacks'. I cant specify, but lets just say that they have complete control over the software. If you were to have a failure, porsche would have to prove that it was your airflow mods that made the engine fail - and not the 2430 cycles of 'range 2' operation stored on your DME.
