Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Club Members,
Here a few quick photos of my
FABSPEED
cat-back
exhaust
before the car goes back into the shop for the
headers
to be installed this weekend. I will be doing a full article on the installation process with detailed pictures of the car from underneath as well as sound and dyno videos.
look at the back... the mufflers do not hang low at all.
Bottom picture are a few other cars in my stable /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif

They look really good, i do have one question though. Is it the angle of the pics are do the tips seem to hang a little low?
Alos, how do you like the cobra? I drove a 2000 saleen s281 sc for 6 years and thought about going to the cobra but decided to wait for the
cayman s
.
Matt,
Its the angle of the pics, the tips are perfectly straight. Like i said I'm going to take more pics this weekend when the
headers
are being installed. I'll make sure to get all angles so we all can see.
That cobra is ridiculous. It's pushing 18Lbs of boost with a 150 shot of nitrous. Dynoed at the wheels before nitrous @ 575HP & 675TQ. Now imagine a 150hp shot on top. Should be low 10's. Right now low 11's.
Kenny,
I am at parade, but let's catch up when I get back about you doing an install article on the
Fabspeed
. FWIW those tips are 'low' regardless of the photo angle, but that's OK, it is just 'different' as long as they aren't 'too low' and it doesn't appear that they are.
Hey K-man,
Yeah lets catch up when you get back. Put it this way they are lower then yours, i just looked at your pictures. Like you said 'different' /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif
Kenny,
I understand from talking to Jay at
Fabspeed
that you should have your
headers
now, let me know if you need help crafting an installation article for the website, Jay is looking forward to seeing one and I want to help you in any way I can.
Feel free to email or PM me.
Tokz,
No i have not posted a sound clip yet but I'm absolutely going to, as well as pictures and more. I'll get it all done within the next couple of days.
Thanks
I'm going to have to say no. I have been driving the car now since Friday with the full system on and i have been really trying to listen for any resonance or droning sounds and as far as i can tell there is none. At idle it sounds very smooth with a more aggressive hint of whats to come. Low RPM it's very pleasant, not droned down and not over the top loud. At RPM above 4k it really starts to wake up and by 6k it sounds amazing. I absolutely notice a difference in sound now that the
headers
are on vs just the cat-back. I've also been told that from behind the car when I'm driving it sounds very aggressive and fits the car.
Come to think about it i can get a sound clip up today before i do the article and all that other stuff. I'll post something a little later today.
Kenny: thank you. that made up my mind aboug getting the
fabspeed
exhaust
.
and about the sound differences that you heard, with and without installing the
headers
, does the sound difference very obvious?
Tokz,
I mean it sounds deeper, more aggressive. The combination of the sound from the intake (air resrictor removed) and the full
exhaust
now sounds intoxicating. Every time i drive the car now i forget I'm in a Cayman. And also putting the sounds behind the feel of the power now is so smooth and believe me before you know it your well into the tripledigits. I wish you could drive my car tofeel whatI'm talking about .But please do yourhomework and decide which system fits your personality.Esthetically the
exhaust
looksincredible. The polished mufflers look greatfrom behindand from the side of the car you can see the polished
headers
threw my wheels. Very cool.I promise as soon as it stops raining I'm going to take some better pics and post them. I told K-Man i wont have the article don't for a few more days b/c i don't have a dyno aroundhere so i need to take a road trip this weekend (weather permitting) But please wait to see what thefabspeed system has to offer. You wont be disappointed.
Regards,
Kenny
sounds great. i had talked to jay about the full system too...i had concerns about the volume/resonance but it sounds reasonable for street...AND WIFE driving.
thanks for the input!
Kenny, your car looks sweet. I look forward to your sound clip and article. I am going to leave my Cayman stock for a while and really appericate all you guys feedback.
really looking forward to your full review, article and the pics. It would be great to have reviews of the different
exhaust
systems/ power kits with pics, sounds, dyno results, etc. I am seriously considering the upgrade but want...like many of you to let someone else take the plunge before i commit....btw..that cobra rocks!...would love to get my paws on one of those.
kenny: i read from the
fabspeed
exhaust
