Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I saw the Cayman GTR at the Radnor Concours this weekend. I noticed on the car that it had modified side air intakes that are carbon fibre and leave out the veins and cover the whole opening with mesh. In addition, the trailing edge flares out and scoops a little forward. Not exactly 'ram air' but in that direction. It was very clean looking and looks like it adds additional air volume to the intake. I called FL and they said next week they would have the kits ready to go @ $900. Not too bad when you consider the custom nature of the product and the material used in construction. Before you ask, they said they could not confirm any HP gain from the part. I'm not too sure I would be crazy about the carbon fibre look on my cobalt car, but it would be quite cool on red, yellow, white, black, silver or slate. I would probably have to see what Bumper Plugs would charge to paint in Cobalt for me. I'm also not sure I am willing to spend $900 on a cosmetic mod, but they sure do look cool. (Sorry, I didn't get a good picture of it. I am going to try to blow up a RAW file of the whole car and see if I can get a good image this evening. I should be posting a number of pictures from the show tonight as well -- lots of truly amazing Porsches.)
