Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My Cayman keeps locking . . . on its own. I talked to the service manager and he asked me if my garage were close to the kitchen because the microwave might lock the car. (The garage and the kitchen are right beside each other.) But I've run the microwave and it has not locked the car. I've made sure not to run the microwave and the car gets locked. (The service manager thinks I'm nuts. Maybe I am. )

POST 2Original post

If you unlock the car with the remote, and do not get in and shut the door, the car relocks

POST 3Original post

Thanks, but I already knew that. This happens after I come in from a drive and park the car.

POST 4Original post

Look at your manual, the car self locks after a minute as a safety precaution

POST 5Original post

I leave my car in the garage - unlocked -and it's never locked itself. Could it be that you are inadvertently pressing the lock button on the key fob? It's notoriously easy to do.
