Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Morning all I think I might be going slightly mad! I bought my 996 in September (loved every minute despite a few initial problems with the wheels and then the tracking! Now all sorted) The car has an onboard trip computer and when I first took it for a test drive it has the options menu along the left side of the display giving the options of limit: check: Oil: BC etc. This option seems to have disappeared and I only have options to reset all now or hide the display! Obviously I can still use the trip to look at range, MPG, temp etc etc but the option to check or or set the speed limit warning have gone! Can anyone advise me how to get this back up? Thanks Tom

POST 3Original post

Do you just have the SET and OFF options displaying? If so, just push the lever upwards.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jesus, now I do feel like a clutz! Yep, thanks Richard, that's it! Oh its a new world of limit warnings and oil measurements for me! Cheers Tom
